...what is RockTape Equine?
 

RockTape Equine is a kinesiology tape that has a unique adhesive perfect for all equestrian sports. It can be applied both to the rider and the horse.

 

RockTape Equine can be used as either a sole or adjunctive treatment in equine therapy. It can reduce or control pain, manage swelling or edema, increase joint range of motion and muscle function, and maintain a level of functionality and comfort for the horse throughout the rehabilitation process.

 

It can also be used on riders to maintain functionality and comfort in training and assist with recovery.

Bio

At age three, Mikki Fallow started her love affair with horses. Growing up riding Hunters, she trained with Belinda Overman and began her A Circuit showing career as well as actively competing with the United States Pony Club.

 

At seventeen she became a working student for Susan Sisco of Sunfield Incorporated in Christiana, PA. She attended Alfred University in Alfred, New York where she obtained her B.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology with a minor in Equine Studies. Her time at Alfred was supplemented by a working student position for Sue Robshaw of Lancaster Stables where she found her love for Eventing.

 

Following her university graduation, Mikki attended Meredith Manor International Equestrian College where she earned her certifications in Equine Massage Therapy, Equine Training and Riding Instruction at the highest levels. Upon completion of the program she was accepted as a graduate assistant at Meredith Manor where she taught several private classes including training and riding.

 

Her background allowed her to become a working student for Advanced eventer, Jessica Bortner-Harris of Rocky Start Stables in Thurmond, NC. There she was able to not only work with Jessica on a daily basis but also train with Bonnie Mosser regularly. She also began to compete her RPSI mare, Vixen, during her time there.

 

After finishing her working student position at Rocky Start, Mikki formed Dragon Balance Bodywork and Braiding which she currently operates out of Gallifrey Farm, LLC., where she is the "in house" Equine Bodyworker and show braider for Gallifrey Horses and its' clients.  

A 25 year equestrian veteran, Mikki  has honed a variety of horse care specialties. Mikki combines multiple modalities in her practice. She is currently certified in  Equine Sports Massage Therapy,  Equine Hanna Somatics, and RockTape Equine.  She is constantly learning and improving, with a keen eye for anything that will help horses feel and perform better. Her craft allows her to harmonize communication between horse and rider, whether the goal is to improve performance in competition or simply enjoy time with your horses.
